Baby Bath Time Layout and Free Printables

Baby Bath Time Layout

| Skip To Free Printables |

This is a fun project for your favorite baby bath time photos. If your layout will be featuring one child, choose 3 different bath time photos.

Photos Needed:
You will need one 4" x 6" featured photo(or slightly smaller) and 2 small cropped photos(1 3/4" x 1 3/4" ) to display your baby's face on the shampoo and conditioner bottles. Since the layout shown features 2 children, we've written their names on the bottles. You can do the same thing, or write something else on the bottles.

Creating the Background:
Start with a piece of 12" X 12" light green cardstock for your background. You will also need a 6 1/2" X 4 1/2" piece of light blue card stock for the mat border around the main photo and a piece of 12" X 2 1/2" light blue cardstock for the bottom border. Cut dips in the top of the bottom border to make it look like waves in the water.

Printing and Cutting:
Next, print and cut out the free printables below. Print the tea bag tiles on regular paper, print the die-cuts on white cardstock, or regular paper if you prefer. Use a cutting mat, ruler, and craft knife to cut the tea bag tiles.

Folding the Tea Bag Tiles:
For the corners around your main photo, simply fold 4 tea bag tiles in half diagonally and arrange them in the corners.

For the top corners of your layout, you will need 6 tiles. Use the 2 extra tiles to practice a kite fold. You will need 2 kites and 4 half-kites for this layout. The kites are easy to fold, just follow the instructions below. To make a half-kite, simply fold a completed kite in half.

To make your first kite, start with one, cut tea bag tile. Lay it face down on your desk, or other surface, and fold point A to point B.

Open the tea bag tile back up and you should have a nice crease. Next, fold point A over, along the center crease line.

Now, repeat the last step with point B, fold it over to the center crease line, forming a point at the bottom of your kite. Next, turn it over and view your first kite!

Finishing Your Layout:
To finish the layout, arrange the folded tea bag tiles and printable die-cuts and glue them in place with a permanent acid-free glue stick. Arrange the bubbles from the largest to the smallest and be sure to make the reflections in the bubbles all face the same direction.
